Carnival Fetes

Be responsible – have fun.

Every year hundreds of our citizens die or are seriously injured on the roads: many of them after Carnival fetes and most of them involving alcohol. In order for you to enjoy the best Trinidad Carnival has to offer and still be safe, we have organised a special partnership with the famous UWI All-Inclusive Fete. All Conference delegates staying at the Hyatt will be provided complimentary transport to and from the fete on Sunday 6th February 2011… so you and your significant other can enjoy the party, spend a safe and comfortable night at the Hyatt and be up, fresh and ready for business, at the Conference on Monday 7th.

UWI “Bollywood” Fete

After a sell-out year in 2010, the UWI FETE, the original all-inclusive, celebrates 21 years, on 6 February, 2011 when the UWI family will journey from China, the 2010 theme, to India. At UWI Fete 2011, guests will be welcomed to Bollywood. UWI Fete promises that “you can’t help but be entranced by Bollywood’s aromas, its sounds and its sights. It’s tasty, rhythmical and pulsating.”

Set on the lush UWI Principal’s Grounds in St Augustine, you can find a cool spot under a mango tree and take it easy all day if you like. Or you can be up front and centre stage dancing to the music of four top bands presented on two stages. Whichever way you prefer, you can be assured of a great premium all inclusive experience. The day always starts with an array of fine foods. UWI Fete Bollywood will serve its guests authentic and local Indian food and gourmet delights with Arabic, Latino and Caribbean influences and origins.

The Old Hilarians’ Association will be having its 15th Annual All Inclusive Carnival fete on February 5th, 2011.

Having started the trend for All-Inclusive fetes to raise funds for schools fifteen years ago, Bishop’s Old Hilarians is still going strong! More notably the School is celebrating its 90th year of existence this year, so it’s a double celebration.

For fifteen years, this dedicated alumni committee has consistently given patrons excellent value for their ticket price, and this year it’s gone to even greater lengths to ensure that patrons experience value for money. The ticket price of TT$650 has been maintained for a third year! So loyal patrons will still enjoy the super premium experience, with Johnny Walker Blue Scotch, Whisky, Möet et Chandon champagne, and a full ultra-premium bar.

And what about that food? Well, The Old Hilarians always provide a ‘mouth watering’ culinary feast and this year is no exception.Starring will be the reknowned Creole Meal, Bake and Shark, Curried Crab and Dumpling, the ever-popular Stewed horse and Bar b que pigtail, in addition to succulent roast pig, ribs, fajitas… and much more!

The Energy Chamber
The Energy Chamber

The Energy Chamber is the representative organization for the Trinidad & Tobago energy and related sectors. We are based in the City of San Fernando, a member of the World Energy City Partnership and the traditional hub of the energy and heavy industrial sectors. Membership of the Chamber is, however, drawn from across the country and beyond. Founded in 1956, the Chamber is an independent a-political organization governed by a Council elected annually from amongst the membership. The Chamber has a strong tradition of vigorously and effectively representing our members' interests and for significantly contributing to national development.

The Trinidad & Tobago Energy Conference (formerly the Trinidad & Tobago Petroleum Conference), since 1989, is organised by the Energy Chamber, the representative association for the Trinidad & Tobago energy sector (www.energy.tt). It is a well respected and well established energy conference and widely regarded as the premier energy sector event in the Caribbean region. The vision of the Chamber is to steer the energy sector of Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean from mere hydrocarbon extraction to sustainable development.

The annual conference attracts members and non-members from around the region and is a prestigious event on the international conference circuit. The Energy Conference continues to grow in scope and importance and for the past two years has incorporated both a Workshop and Tradeshow element.
